Good morning folks. Please accept my apologies for my absence. New duties at work and Bible study have been taking all of my time. I'm also starting a training program for some rock climbing adventures this summer.

I've only read the last 50 posts so I'm not really caught up on TM. I did see the comment about Iran's leaders saying the US needed a punch in the mouth. That's a threat if I've every heard one. IMHO, Iran's nuke program is aimed at Israel. Any threat to the US will come in the form of a WMD terror attack.

I hate to be pessimistic, but each day that passes brings us closer to the next attack on US soil. It was 8 years between the 2 attacks on the WTC. It's only been 4.5 years since the 911 attacks. The next attack could happen today or 10 years from now.

Realistically, there's not much we as citizens can do to prevent it other than being aware what's happening around us. Miracles to happen and vigilance may prevent or delay the next hit.

We all must be prepared to deal with the next attacks. We may not be able to prevent it, but we can minimize it's effects. Make sure your supplies and kits are well stocked and current to meet seasonal needs.

I'll do my best to stop by more often. Thank you all for your hard work keep us aware of the threats we face.

"Stolen Nuclear Gauge Raises Terrorism Concerns"
LOCAL 6, Florida ^ | May 2, 2005 | Local 6

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A nuclear density test gauge on the federal govenment's watch list was stolen from a secured construction site in Daytona Beach, Fla., according to Local 6 News.

Police said the thieves took the item from a site on north Atlantic Avenue Monday morning. A foreman at the location said the thieves knew exactly what they were doing when they took the device, Local 6 News reported.

The gauge is used to test the density of soil. It is a common device used in Central Florida, according to the report.

However, officials said if the device fell into the wrong hands, it could be used for the wrong reasons, including terrorism, Local 6 News reported."
