A very special day today, MamaDearest and I do hope your day is just as special as mine.

My husband lowered to half mast our house flag and then went out to our park -- the park flag.

We watched CSPAN, History Channel and Fox News.

At noon we raised both flags.

Had a really nice BBQ.

Heavens, I even took a nap after the BBQ.

Remembering my Dad (deceased) who was in the navy (WWII), my father-in-law (alive) who was a bombadier (WWII), my husband (82nd Airborne - 60's), a family member who is not in the military, but in (delete).

I appreciate the service of all who have served, are serving and planning to serve and protect our country. THANK YOU.

I see Jamaat-e-Islami on the US map

Selene, I believe ALL members of Hamas or Jamaat-e-Islami and the other terrorist groups shown on the map should be arrested and either prosecuted or deported promptly. There's something horrifically wrong with permitting terrorist organizations to breed and continue operating on American soil! No crime needs to be committed first - they are, after all, TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS (Large DUH!) (just my opinion)!

Hi Cindy! Thanks for the Memorial Days wishes. Yes, my day was pretty special too.

I got to thinking that I forgot my other brother and my nephew, who were both in the Navy Also a friend of mine with a spouse in the Middle East. I'm sending a card to them to thank them for their service to our country and to let them know how fortunate we are to know them.

I thank all serving our country now, or who have served in the past, or those who have lost loved ones due while they served our country. God Bless You!

This map does not show the two most vulnerable points for a major attack.

While all the government experts warn the day is coming when terrorist will attack the US with a nuclear device, they want us thinking it will likely happen in a port city. That's possible, but not likely.  It's not where we are the weakest.

If such an attack comes, it is most likely to occur in two areas we are defenseless to protect from terrorist activity, Tijuana and Juarez, Mexico. The effect on the cities of San Diego and El Paso would be devastating, plus we would suffer the great harm the fallout would pose to cities east of these two cities.  It would also inflict deadly harm on nearby major military instillations.  Does anyone really think the government is leveling with us on the threat?
