Just read your wonderful news, a new baby grandson, how wonderful! Best wishes to the proud new parents, too.
Well, I appreciate reading that Revel.
If I was Perry Mason, I would say this A CASE OF THE DIRTY MONEY.
Now, the authorities will have to see what the substance was on that
money.
(OPINION-SPECULATION: Cocaine or maybe a drug combo. Could
it be something else? Sure.)
Please let me know if you get a follow-up on that Revel. I am interested.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: ""The result of the special operation surpassed our expectations," the terrorist's statement runs
One of the last leaders of Chechen terrorists, Shamil Basayev, claimed responsibility for the recent blackout in Moscow, which paralyzed a big part of the city and caused huge economic damage to Russia's capital. Basayev claimed that it was him, but not the outdated energetic equipment, that cut Moscow from electric power supplies on Wednesday, May 25th.
The statement, which was published on one of Chechen websites, said that the recent crisis with electricity in Moscow had been organized by Chechen gunmen. Shamil Basayev said that diversionary groups of Chechen gunmen conducted a successful special operation on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region and put the energetic system of Russia's central region out of operation."
Thanks for bringing the article to us Selene. Tolerance and terror go hand in hand IMHO. Today, anything goes. Protecting those who preach hatred is downright dangerous. Expeditiously physically removing them from American soil should be mandatory (a no-brainer).
Umatilla, Oregon (near Hanford)
Tolerating terrorism is as bad as the terrorism itself. Someone is really dropping the ball here. Homeland Security, my foot - this is exactly the kind of action (or lack of it) why people have no faith in agencies that are supposed to protect us! Perhaps they're on a prolonged donut break!
Thanks for sharing that info with us. Very interesting indeed.
Well, Portland, Oregon and Portland, Maine are both interesting areas. Since you said Portland, Oregon; here are some links -- nothing real exciting or specific though, pertaining to your friend's dream.

Prayer for Peace, Memorial Day, 2005
A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America
On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women in uniform who have given their lives in service to our Nation. When the stakes were highest, our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen answered the call of duty and made the ultimate sacrifice for the security of our country and the peace of the world.
Throughout our Nation's history, members of the Armed Forces have taken great risks to keep America strong and free. These proud patriots have defended the innocent, freed the oppressed, and helped spread the promise of liberty to all corners of the earth. In serving our Nation, they have been unrelenting in battle, unwavering in loyalty, and unmatched in decency. Because of their selfless courage, millions of people who once lived under tyranny now are free, and America is more secure.
On Memorial Day, we remember that this history of great achievement has been accompanied by great sacrifice. To secure our freedom, many heroic service members have given their lives. This year we mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, and we remember the Americans who died on distant shores defending our Nation in that war. On Memorial Day and all year long, we pray for the families of the fallen and show our respect for the contributions these men and women have made to the story of freedom. Our grateful Nation honors their selfless service, and we acknowledge a debt that is beyond our power to repay.
In respect for their devotion to America, the Congress, by a joint resolution approved on May 11, 1950, as amended (64 Stat. 158), has requested the President to issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe each Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace and designating a period on that day when the people of the United States might unite in prayer. The Congress, by Public Law 106 579, has also designated the minute beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time on that day as a time for all Americans to observe the National Moment of Remembrance.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim Memorial Day, May 30, 2005, as a day of prayer for permanent peace, and I designate the hour beginning in each locality at 11:00 a.m. of that day as a time to unite in prayer. I also ask all Americans to observe the National Moment of Remembrance beginning at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day. I urge the media to participate in these observances.
I also request the Governors of the United States and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half staff until noon on this Memorial Day on all buildings, grounds, and naval vessels throughout the United States, and in all areas under its jurisdiction and control. I also request the people of the United States to display the flag at half-staff from their homes for the customary forenoon period.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty ninth.
GEORGE W. BUSH

A second arrest in NYC -- related to the Florida Dr.
FBI Arrests Two With Alleged Ties To Al Qaeda
UPDATED: 9:51 pm EDT May 29, 2005
NEW YORK -- Prosecutors are expected to announce charges against two men with New York ties who they say wanted to help the Al Qaeda terror network, NewsChannel 4 first reported.
As First Reported On NewsChannel 4Law enforcement officials identified one of the suspects as Dr. Rafiq Abdus Sabir.
FBI agents arrested Sabir at his home in Palm Beach County, Florida over the weekend.
Officials said his arrest is the result of an ongoing terror-related investigation in New York. Investigators said Sabir and another man in New York, Terik Shah allegedly pledged support for Al Qaeda and offered to help them in New York and overseas with Jihaddist activities.
Shah is a martial arts expert and may have offered his expertise to help train terrorists, investigators said.
Investigators would not say who the men were in contact with overseas, but officials said the two men were caught with the help of an informant.
Spokesmen for the New York Police Department and FBI declined comment, but investigators told NewsChannel 4 that charges against Sabir and Shah are expected to be announced this week and will include material support for terrorism.
Attempts to reach Sabir's relatives in New York were unsuccessful.
Records indicate Sabir received his medical training at Columbia University.
He worked at several area hospitals in New York before moving to Florida where investigators apparently became concerned about some of his alleged ties to terror.
Shah was already in custody before Sunday's announcement.
Investigators said their alleged ties to Al Qaeda were well under way when their informant learned of the alleged plot.
