This afternoon in a preview for tonight's Hardball on MSNBC at 7 EDT, Arizona Senator John McCain told host Chris Matthews that he will vote with the Democrats against exercising the so-called "nuclear option" to prevent the Democrats from using a filibuster stopping a floor vote on judicial nominees.
McCain said that he wanted to remind Republicans that some day there would be a "liberal president and a Democrat-controlled senate" and there would be no way for Republicans to stop the appointment of liberal judges as his reason for how he will vote.

Not quite correct, Dan. He was popular with some freepers.

That works for me...
Well, isn't that a big surprise (NOT!). What a turd.
A good friend of mine used to live in Az and he'd write letters to John regarding something he was doing and relating that to his time in prison camp. I can't remember exactly what it was but it did have something to do with that. It was logical and well written. John met him at a town meeting and yelled, screamed and swore at him like a nutcase.
Senator John McCain do the country a favor and leave Washington. Sir you done more harm to your country then good. Why the state of Arizona elects him in office is beyond me?
Please, do whatever you Arizonans can do to remove this back-stabbing media whore from the ranks of Senate Republicans. Let us know if we can contribute to a viable primary contender.
This republic's greatest threat lies with activist judges who to date, go unchecked.
Certainly we could force a filibuster. They are just lazy, IMHO. And they are afraid of the publicity. They still remember the backlash when Gingrich shut down the government. They've sat on the fence so long they are suffering from crotch rot -- in the words of a Texas lady I once knew!
You hit the nail right on the head. Many Christians are becoming aware as well of the dangers of liberal judges and the present judicial system and are aiming many prayers in that direction. It scares the heck outta me to think of where we're heading if we don't get conservative judges in there, especially in the Supreme Court. Our founding fathers must be spinning in their graves!
