I once was told that I was going to hell because I was given a copy of an NIV bible and it wasn't the King James version. I explained that my grandmother had given it to me many years ago but it made no difference. Scary stuff
You just have to wonder what Jesus would think about that...Especially when you consider that the King James Version was written by Sir Francis Bacon in 1611. It was written to please King James, not Jesus.

Well said, and so true. I entered the Catholic Church at the age of 36 despite the scandals. Being in the military, I was exposed to many religions and forms of them, including Islam. And of all the houses of worship I've been in, the Catholic Church is the one that makes me more comfortable and closer to God. So, the way I see, that's my calling to Christ. That is how he has chosen to touch me.
I wish the Catholic bashers, many of whom practice Christianity themselves would wake up and understand that the liberals and Islamo Fascists are now undertaking a "divide and conquer" approach. It is far more important to be together as "Christians" than to be divided as churches.
