LOL I figured it was Lucas related problems.

Didya hear Norton is making a comeback? Pretty nice looking scoot...we'll see if they actually can survive longer than other resurrected brands (like Indian).

I do have a commando, he's just working on the water well. Besides, he doesn't know where the on/off switch is to this thing. He's even less knowledgeable than I am...if you can imagine that.

He just got me this thing so he could reclaim the tv remote.

No kidding... When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of "The Prince of Darkness"... Lucas!

Q: Why do the Brits drink warm beer? A: Because Lucas makes their refrigerators!

That was the first thought to cross my mind too. I bought one in the Spring of my senior year in high school, 1970. It was a very fast bike, which was only made for two years, 1969 & 70, and only came in red or blue metal flake. All the motorcycle magazines had tested it at 12.6 seconds in the ¼ mile, and were mystified by it being called scrambler, just because of the "S" designation by Norton. It was built for speed and could really shock owners of muscle cars of that era, when it came to street racing. The photos that I have are not clear enough (Kodak Instamatic) but I found a pic of one on the Internet exactly like the one I had.

Norton Commando 750 "S"

...as in a '74 850, pre-electric start with a Queen-side shifter? Had one of those myself once upon a time. Lovely ride. Shame the dolts didn't engineer the heads with a steel insert in the aluminum exhaust ports. The finned clamps were steel and worked the threads loose so that the pipes were forever rattling themselves and popping out.
