Okay - one more time I'm going to tell you. When you make a statement like - "And we have now officially heard from a Norton employee" - that is an accusation. You have no knowledge or information which would substantiate that statement - therefore - it's an accusation.

If you were joking it wasn't funny - because I didn't appreciate the tag team targeting of me because I happen to use a product called Norton - which somehow does not meet with your approval .. like I said, WHOOPIE - I am entitled to purchase any product I want - if you don't like it - tough bananas.

Then you suggested that I was in the wrong in my choice of products because - "... you are running against the tide here" - which again suggests I'm some bad person because I don't agree with your view of a software .. ROTFLOL!!

You can't get much more stupid and juvenile than that!

And .. thanks for the information about REGEDIT - which my son tells me I should never touch without his assistance. Were you trying to damage my computer with such a suggestion .. Hmmmmmm? That's even more juvenile and criminal I might add.

You read to literally my friend. You say yourself no one could know that you are a Norton employee. Of course, I could not know that. In other words, I was not accusing you of being a Norton employee. I was accusing you of cheerleading for the product like one.

Perhaps a bit too obscure a reference and I should have been more clear. I simply had no idea you would - or anyone - would take it so literally.

You are taking this way too seriously. My point is that you are wrong about Norton being a good product if the comments in this thread are any sort of a guide. You are going against the stream on this one.

You don't read very clearly. Go back and read my post on that again. Of course I would never suggest anyone do something to damage their computer. You are way out of line!

Here are the warnings I offered in the discussion of the windows registry
- If you don't know what you are doing, be very, very careful.
- DON'T delete anything in your registry if you don't know what you are doing.

What do you want me to do, put it in bold for you? Your son is right. You definately should not touch the registry. But the rest of us that know this is sometimes the only way to clear unwanted programs completely from our systems and we will go in there and properly (and carefully) clean them out.

To anyone else out there reading this: If you do not know what you are doing in the Windows registry, DO NOT mess with it in anyway. You can easily mess up your system.

I didn't read much of the thread but I'll say this: I I lived near you I'd happily come over and install Linux for free -- you'd be done with the hassles -- and I'd bring a pizza, too!
