If you do not include width and height codes, then the page is locked at that point until the image loads.
If the image is not accessable, then the page freezes until a server response happens. PLEASE use width and height codes.

Go here for your HTML tags+Height and Width, you get it all with one single click. Type or paste just the URL, not the tags.

Also, for a neat Testbed to preview your pics......

Check the whole Draac site, many tutes on HTML, Tables, just everything. Enjoy.

BTW, is there any way to specify image height as a function of screen (or containing-item) width? It's possible to make a picture dynamically size itself in relation to the screen or containing item, but the only way I know to make it keep its aspect ratio is to specify height or width alone. Is there any better way, preferably without using javascript? Also, on the subject of Javascript, it possible to have a button which will change a style definition document-wide? I'm writing a program to generate an HTML summary of some data and it would be nice to be able to "collapse" certain types of information.

You might try using Google to search for webpage tutorials/forums. I'm sure you can find the answer to your questions. Good luck!

Well, you could post it from your computer, but you would have to turn your machine into an HTML server..

I have a desktop at home that can be an HTML server on my local intranet...

You just type ipv4:80 in the address bar where ipv4 is the local ip address of the machine.
