Self-professed loyal, conservative Republican to the core Carl Ford has not always put his money where his mouth is. Over the past five years, Ford donated more than $3,000 to a number of prominent Democrats including John Kerry and Charles Rangel, according to OpenSecrets.org.
Ford has also donated to a number of Republicans, including President Bush. The Democrat donations include:
$1,000 Charles Rangel 8/12/04
$500, Daniel Inouye, 2/18/04
$1,0000 Jane Harman, 12/8/03
$250 Jane Harman, 3/7/2000
$500 John Kerry, 11/9/99
THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CASE OF HEARSAY INFORMATION BEING USED AS GOSPEL.
But .. if a REPUBLICAN had made such silly comments about a DEMOCRAT - the person would have been tarred and feathered. It's nothing more than the typical double standard.
Good Grief
I went to the Thomas site that Oxen gave me a long time ago and I couldn't figure out how to get the transcript---
I could get Lugar and Biden's opening statements, but not the hearing itself---as usual, I am prolly doing something wrong!!! LOL
When I went to the C-span site---and I clicked on yesterday's hearing, I got one of those "this page unable to be displayed" thingys!!!
Maybe Oxen will come to the rescue---I did video tape the replay last night--I could run it and type it out whenever I have about 6 hours free, if you want me to!!!
I think he helped with John Glenn's presidential campaign. I'm trying as hard as I can with a sink full of dishes waiting to be washed..LOL
Maybe this will help
Bolton Nomination-Related Interviews:
Frederick Fleitz
Christian Westermann
Thomas Fingar
Neil Silver
There are links to their testimony

Bump to that. Ford donating money to elect a thief like Rangel is not just showing he's an opportunist--it demonstrates he doesn't care about this country. Listening to someone like that talking about who should be its rep to the UN is like listening to Yasser Arafat talk about who should run Israel.
Thanks for posting that link, but I had already gone there, they have the scripts of the interviews with some of the people not on TV, but I can't figure out how to get Ford's testimony yesterday on C-span....
Can you check and see if you can figure out how to get it?
I have been all over the place. I googled, I used dogpile, I went to Powerline, CaptainsQuarters, Michelle Malkin, NRO and can't find the transcript anywhere.
Thanks for trying---I am just a novice at "sleuthing" (ha) out transcripts and such, so I figured I just has missed a place to link to---
I wonder why it is so hard to get that transcript?--I know that OXEN IN FLA is always good at getting them posted, and even she hasn't been able to post that one...
self-professed loyal, conservative RINO to the core
I was half-listening to Brit Hume's opening statement on his show tonight and a comment he made caught my ear. It went something like this: "The dressing down a State Dept. employee claims he received from John Bolton may have been triggered by a lie the employee told."
I wasn't able to listen to the program, and was wondering what the eventual story was. I tried checking Fox's website, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any info as to what Brit's story on this was?
Brits' show is replayed midnight eastern time.
is Ford black?? I can think of no other reason to give money to that creep Rangel.
Not only that, but he comes across as an oleaginous stooge of a bureaucrat who has entirely too much regard -- for himself.
When Ford was allowed to launch into a long admiring bio of his own self, it got so sickening I had to change the channel.
I came back about 10 minutes later and Ford was STILL talking about what a wonderful guy he is.
I saw it. He was saying that the analyst who worked for Ford lied to Bolton, so Bolton chewed him out. Bolton asked Dept. of State's INR to clear language he wanted to use in a speech about Cuba. The analyst at INR sent that language to all the other intelligence agency, which is normal procedure. But the analyst also put his own message rejecting the language when he sent it. Bolton asked him about that and he lied. When it got back to Bolton, he realized the analyst had lied and tried to undermine the Undersecretary.
Thanks for the synopsis. It's greatly appreciated. I wasn't able to stay up last night to watch the re-run of Brit's show.
