I was half-listening to Brit Hume's opening statement on his show tonight and a comment he made caught my ear. It went something like this: "The dressing down a State Dept. employee claims he received from John Bolton may have been triggered by a lie the employee told."
I wasn't able to listen to the program, and was wondering what the eventual story was. I tried checking Fox's website, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any info as to what Brit's story on this was?
Brits' show is replayed midnight eastern time.
I saw it. He was saying that the analyst who worked for Ford lied to Bolton, so Bolton chewed him out. Bolton asked Dept. of State's INR to clear language he wanted to use in a speech about Cuba. The analyst at INR sent that language to all the other intelligence agency, which is normal procedure. But the analyst also put his own message rejecting the language when he sent it. Bolton asked him about that and he lied. When it got back to Bolton, he realized the analyst had lied and tried to undermine the Undersecretary.
