Print Email Last Update: Tuesday, April 12, 2005. 10:32am (AEST) Police restrain art lovers seeking 100 naked women Organisers of a performance art show in Germany featuring 100 naked women had to call in police reinforcements to control a long and impatient queue of people, police said.

Scuffles broke out late last Friday as people tried to jump over the barriers to get closer to the women, aged between 18 and 65, wearing see-through stockings and greased with baby oil, who arranged themselves according to the instructions of US artist Vanessa Beecroft.

The show, dubbed VB55, at one of Berlin's main museums, was the latest in a series by Beecroft, who specialises in works displaying naked or semi-naked women.

Her VB45, in Vienna in 2000, featured 45 of them.

A total of 20 police were required to control the Berlin spectators, who had each paid 10 euros ($17) admission.

Something about this was posted a couple of days ago. There was a link to a picture. Even the younger ones weren't very easy on the eyes.

I could call that disturbing the piece, but that would be tasteless, wouldn't it...

Art Lover
Written by: Ray Davies

Sunday afternoon there's something special
It's just like another world.
Jogging in the park is my excuse
To look at all the little girls.

I'm not a flasher in a rain coat,
I'm not a dirty old man,
I'm not gonna snatch you from your mother,
I'm an art lover.
Come to daddy,
Ah, come to daddy,
Come to daddy.

Pretty little legs, I want to draw them,
Like a Degas ballerina.
Pure white skin, like porcelain,
She's a work of art and I should know
I'm an art lover.
Come to daddy,
And I'll give you some spangles.

Little girl don't notice me
Watching as she innocently plays.
She can't see me staring at her
Because I'm always wearing shades.
She feeds the ducks, looks at the flowers.
I follow her around for hours and hours.
I'd take her home, but that could never be,
She's just a substitute
For what's been taken from me.
Ah, come to daddy, come on.

Sunday afternoon can't last forever,
Wish I could take you home.
So, come on, give us a smile
Before you vanish out of view.
I've learned to appreciate you
The way art lovers do,
And I only want to look at you.

I suppose that is what is left when you can't paint or sculpt.

I think some of them are the same old skanks who formed the word "PEACE" with their flabby white wrinkled bodies.

I read your tag line was orignially a quote from Gen. Phil Sheridan about Texas.

Phil Sheridan never went to Brooklyn.

And Phil Sheridan, God bless him, never had to look at 100 naked German skanks.

I'm picturing lots of babes with extremely hairy armpits.

I know the exchange rate is bad, but it's not that bad.

Wasn't that Sherman and not Sheridan who said that? Or maybe it was both. Both Yankee generals are alleged to have said, "The only good Indian is a dead Indian." Neither were real fond of either Southerners or Indians, suffice it to say.

It was Sheridan's quote about Texas that inspired my tagline. Sheridan also said "nits make lice" while exterminating the Native Americans. However I would not recommend using the latter quote as a tagline.
