It would get much needed attention and might rattle a few republican cages.

".....remarks that place her sharply to the right of the Bush administration on the issue." Not the most difficult trick.

Calculated to embarrass the Bush Administration...And rightfully so.
American Patriots do NOT appreciate being called "vigilantes."

I think it's a clever way to "call" that closet socialist hypocrite on her border control verbiage. She'll NEVER show up there...bet me.

Gilchrist's decision to invite Clinton was likely prompted by her tough comments on border security - remarks that place her sharply to the right of the Bush administration on the issue.
Right into Third World paradise.
Citizens are organizing...government distrust...a Clinton involved--Miss Reno, where are you?
DO DO
To: areafiftyone
Newt Gingrich warned about this a few weeks ago. He said Hillary would try to peel off those angry about illegal immigration/border issues in order to get into power.
To: areafiftyone
Im all for it - I am a true conservative which Bush is not and we need to raise this issue - If Clinton wants to fix the border then Im for it.

Don't do it Jim!!!! "Lie down with Dogs, get up with fleas!" Hitlery is about as much of a "dog" as you can get. She's as much for regaining control of the border as John Kerry was for hunting deer with a shotgun while crawling on his stomach.

Considering the union vote needs to be shored by any Democrat running for President and millions of cheap, undocumented laborers are proving useful in breaking the unions, I wonder what the downside is?

The world has finally gone mad!! AAAAARGH!!!Whoever has the courage to fight to protect our borders will win the presidency in 2008.
If Hillary the hawk seems tough enough, her road to the White House will be paved with Republicans holding their noses but pulling the Dem lever in 2008.

I wish those who criticize the Minutemen would just explain, in specific and logical terms, how the invasion of our country can be stopped when the government not only fails to enforce the laws but actually encourages the illegal aliens with special perks, such as reduced college tuition and free medical care, not available to our citizens.

It won't happen. Now if NARAL was holding a vigil at the border demanding free abortions for illegal immigrants, Shrillary Rodham-Stalin would crawl through broken glass to get there.

Whatever it takes to get the job done.
Ms. Clinton may decline which would invite questions about her resolute with respect to the border issue.
GWB and GOP advisors will look at it as a shot across the bow, hopefully.
Not a bad idea.
