Which is I guess why some people run for office themselves, but I, frankly, am not interested in it, have no desire.

I've always like folks who claim to have the countries best interests in mind, pontificate we're all going to hell in a handbasket, criticize someone doing a job without walking a mile in their shoes and understanding the intricacies of the position, and then say they aren't interested in doing better. Jeesh!

Here's a link on anger and its biblical use and when it's a sin. One of the factors of determining if it's a sin is yelling. http://www.gotquestions.org/anger.html

Jeff: When Rush criticizes the Presidnet, watch out because in the next day or two, he will turn the phrase and talk about how his adversaries underestimated his abilities. I seem to remember this happening over the illegal situation a year or so ago. Rush was heavy on the prez when the plan was in it's formulative stages but once unveiled talked about how his adversaries underestimated him and the genius of it all.

I know a Catholic priest who says it is perfectly legitimate for us to do away with certain people.

I am listening to Jeff Sessions up on the Senate floor right now, and he is one of my favorites--

I haven't noticed any "out of the mainstream" votes--I DO know he is vehemently against the LOST treaty----

What do you think of him?

You say Rush sounded insane and Michael Savage *doesn't*?

I've never heard that one before.

:-)

"I feel exactly like Rush. I'm so sick of suedo-conservatives in the House and Senate backtracking on judges, social security, energy, immigration, etc."

Don't leave out..calling the Minutemen "vigilantes."

These phony-baloney showbiz clowns are going to wake up and smell the coffee one day.

Or at least that's what I delude myself into thinking.

Oh my God....yelling is not a sin. It's the intent behind your anger. It's what is in your heart when you are angry. It is the choice of words, the reason for your anger that would be a sin if it is founded in selfishness.

If yelling alone is a sin then Christ Himself sinned when in the temple throwing out the people using it as a marketplace. I'm sure he didn't do that in a soft and monotone voice.

Re: post 116, which I will not even reprint here.

I have now read 116 posts & it is abundantly clear that not one heard the beginning of Rush's program yesterday.

He started by saying he was ticked off beyond recognition. (my words-not his) Clearly, NY is giving him tax grief & he blew off a little steam then went into what he wanted to discuss, which was the spineless, gutless, wimpy cretins that are throwing their own to the wolves without a shred of evidence or proof of any wrong doing.

It was the one of his best programs since I have been listening, IMHO. Keep it up Rush-we need you!

So you admit that Savage preaches conservatism as opposed to just being a yes-man to anyone with an (R) after his name!!!!

His voice emanates from the radio towers in NYC, therefor he owes NYC taxes on his broadcast earnings.

If Rush was the person some of the people in this thread want him to be, and let's throw the name Savage out there, not a soul would take him seriously.

It is precisely because Rush is a loyal committed conservative Republican that doesn't take cheap shots at our guys that HIS words carry weight. Others can idolize commentators that have no loyalty, certainly no restraint. It doesn't alter the point they have little to no influence.

Rush, it cannot be honestly disputed, does.

I agree.

Those weeks when he too off for detox were a nightmare. I was never more ethrilled to hear his voice back on the radio. Anyone that doesn't have the intellectual capacity to understand how essential this man is to the conservative movement cannot be taken seriously.

Politicians come and go. Reagan served his eight years. Bush will serve his eight years. I admire what both contribute but they have time limits. Rush endures so long as he has the Will.

IMO, one of my favorite traits about Rush is that he doesn't follow the pack. He does what he believes is right. People scream at him for defending Terri, so be it. Others wish to fall on their knees and cry about Abu Grabib, he turns it around on everyone and puts it in perspective.

I won't say the conservative movement would die without Rush, I hope it's bigger than one individual, but it would certainly be delivered a hefty setback in the loss of its strongest influential voice.

I "work" 2nd shift so I only get to listen to bits and pieces, still it's some of the best of talk radio...unlike a certain RANT RANT RANT show that follows.

FYI he said again tonight that he would send money to any democrat running against Chafee RINO RI. if he voted against changing the rules.
