"I agree with Rush's definition of conservatism. Sorry."

So perfect conservatives get divorced three times and get addicted to pain killers? Got it.

I don't really have any use for him, BUT give the devil his due, he knows his audience. He knows what they want RANT RANT RANT, and that's what he gives them.

"I think the guy's phony.'

He's a demagogue.

Oh? It's a fact. He'd find you and me boring after a while.

And with regard to his legal and image problems, if you had the issues he's had recently, would your employer higher teams of PR folks to craft imaging for you in the community? Could you hire the best legal team to fight a potential invasion of your privacy that may be just as serious as his or even more so? Let's face it, one of the problems in the Schiavo case is that they may have had a poor legal team in the early stages of this that may have long term set them up for failure. The stakes were much higher in that case vs Rush's medical records.

Do you believe you could keep Rush entertained with the limitations of your income? Could he long term hang out with you and call you a friend without feeling bored or used? I sincerely doubt it. Not that either you or he is a bad person. It's just that you're both on different levels of life. And you may in fact have all the qualities he was pining for. And yet he'd look over you in a heartbeat.

"John the Baptist was a holy man; he wasn't divorced 3 times and addicted to pain medicine."

Your self-righteousness is blinding you to the fact that they STILL laughed at John the Baptist --- in spite of the fact that he was a "holy man" and wasn't divorced 3 times and addicted to pain medicine.

So you see, you embarrass yourself, and at the same time show the leftist manipulators which one of tactics they need to use that will work best to take you down.

Altogether, Hillary's mentor in college, Saul Alinsky, in his book "Rules for Radicals" provides eleven rules of the ethics of means and ends for taking out political enemies and obtaining power:

This is the one that they will use on you:

“Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

dem·a·gogue also dem·a·gog ( P ) Pronunciation Key (dm-gôg, -gg)
n.
A leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.
A leader of the common people in ancient times.

You say this as if it is a bad thing? What was he gonna do, go on the radio with Republicans as his audience and start advocating to save the whales?

Rush is RIGHT BTTT We have very few great leaders. And even if they are strong on some issues, they stink on others. (Think border "issue.")

He's on the money, as usual....and yesterday, Rush hit the jackpot! We need some fire in our bellies if we ever expect to win....and the Republican "leadership" had better grab the clue that THE MEDIA DO NOT LIKE YOU AND NEVER WILL, SO DON'T TRY TO BE NICE TO THEM!

Run roughshod over the Socialists! They did that to us for forty years, and will anyway if they ever regain control of the House and Senate! Treat the b&@#$%ds as what they are: DEFEATED! They never cut the Republicans an Engstrom unit (look it up) of slack, so why do we give them an AU (look it up)? I'll tell you why:
BECAUSE WE WANT TO BE LIKED!

It is better to be respected than to be liked, and better to be feared than to be respected. If Frist and the rest of those nadless wonders can't start putting some fear into the Socialists, we need to throw their worthless RINO a$$es out and put in SOMEONE WHO CAN!

(I know some of you Congressional and Senatorial staffers are reading this....so if you think the rank and file don't matter, that we'll vote for your guys regardless of how wussy they are.....THINK AGAIN! We'll either stay home or bolt the Party....and in either case, your wuss will be out of a job, and SO WILL YOU! Tell them to either $hit or get off the pot and to start behaving like conservatives, or we'll find someone with the testicular fortitude to do it instead of them!)

It's tough to say. I'm distincly middle class. I can't think of anyone I'm close to that's wealthy nor can I think of anyone I'm close to that's poor. The people who have chosen me for a friend are in my socio-economic group and we have similar likes, morals, values and dislikes. The people I tend to meet are in that social class.

I don't hold my nose when I am in a group of poor folks, nor do I fawn over the wealthy.

i guess the best barometer is send Rush a note and see if he's willing to hang out with you to fulfill his need for friends that aren't users. Might be interesting. My guess is even if he made the overture, it wouldn't last long.

Good luck!

Let me know when he's there for your birthday, your kids birthday, stops by to cheer you up when you're down, offers to buy a cup of coffee on a whim, shares his tickets to your favorite concert/event or does something with you that is something he has no interest in but knows you do so he just tags along.
