/flighty banter
Like Horowitz, I was there at the beginning, but at UBC in Vancouver.
At that time, the commies were divided into the CP(Moscow alligned) and Trotskyite groups of various kinds. 'Hands Off Cuba' was at war with 'Fair Play For Cuba'. ;^)
By the mid-60s, the Maoists were a force, along with the less coherent manifestations of the Marxist 'New Left'.
Through seven years of university life, in which the discourse was entirely leftist, students such as myself learned of alternative views only through reading outside of the curriculum.
It is with some satisfaction that I hear the squealing of the Established Leftist Pigs upon being stuck by reality.
Go, Horowitz! ;^)
