Just before they harvest the salmon, they feed them beta carotene I think. I don't really remember. Maybe comes from eating too much colored salmon.........

The farmed salmon are not naturally red like the wild ones are. Color comes from the diet of prawns and such. Same as the Pink Flamingo. Flamingoes raised in captivity are white unless fed a diet rich in crustaceans......Must be a Jimmy Buffet song in there somewhere.......White sportcoat and a pink crustacean......
