with all of the state and federal monies pouring into there everybody in that GOD forsaken city should be living in the lap of luxary, but see what happens when demo's run unchecked! Let's buldoze detroit, e.st.louis ill, and start over.

It seems all communist areas end like Detroit has. I've seen pictures of the old Soviet industrial parks and cities.. and how Cuba is falling apart. Then I saw pictures of Detriot and was basically the exact same.

Here's a story I've related before..
There was a tornado one summer when we lived there. (We were north of Southfield). They showed the "damage" on the news. Only problem is you couldn't tell what was original and what had been damaged. It all looked bad. I believe that was in Hammtramack (sp?).

If it's where I think it was, it was Detroit, Outer Drive right where it goes from north/south to east/west on the east side. By Holy Cross Hospital. IIRC 1988 or 89?? Apartment complex??
