PHILADELPHIA -- Running back Jerome Bettis said he'll return to play for the Steelers again next season, his 10th with the team and 13th in the National Football League.
Bettis, 33, told The Philadelphia Inquirer of his plans Friday when he was in Philadelphia for an asthma awareness promotion.
"My body didn't feel good after the season," he told the newspaper. "I felt pretty rough. It was difficult for me. As the days went by, my body started to recover and I felt better."
Bettis led the Steelers with 941 yards rushing last season, and started in place of Duce Staley after Staley missed six full games and parts of others with injuries in his first season with the team. The Steelers signed Staley to a five-year, $14 million contract last March.

Hopefully for his sake Staley will stay healthy so he won't have to carry the load by himself.
and he is a Bush supporter.

I'd like to see Bettis break a few more rushing records. As far as pro sports people go, he is a class act.
It's remarkable for any NFL running back to last as long as he has.
Maybe he will campaign for Swann for Governor.
Especially the way he runs the ball (meaning the numbers of hits he receives & delivers). One of my boys has pretty bad asthma and really looks up to him.
The Bus is the best. After seeing the way he limped off the field following the heartbreaking loss in the last game of the season, I had to wonder if he'd carry on. Hopefully, he will play in a Super Bowl before retiring.
One more run for "Da Bus"!
