You're right, and the same holds true for men. I cannot stomach a dumb woman.

If she's HOT, sure it's fine for a while, but then it turns very bad when things get serious.

My advice? Don't listen to what "women's groups" say. Device a way to test for a feminist! and steer clear! The feminist movement is the worst thing that ever happened to women!

Find a conservative women, and you're all set. Feminists are Libs. Doesn't hurt if she is a country music fan either, it shows she is more wholesome.

If youth are less inclined to fall in love, it's not for a particular sex's hobbies and eccentricities that have become unattractive. Men and women have had their own activities for all of recorded history. What dulls the spark for romance is the horrific uncertainty for success in marriage. Western & Socialized societies have put a wet blanket over their heart souls and smothered that fire that would ignite true love.

Even today, I met a lovely young gal who is as beautiful as can be. But she spoke ill of party politics. Immediately she cast herself into a suspicious shadow with which I was less willing to explore her truer self beyond a solitary issue of rhetoric.

The 'women like bad boys or jerks' is a strawman

Actually there is a contingent of women who are attracted to the aggressiveness displayed by rebellious guys, who like a little sense of danger in their relationships, or who are just plain dependent and mistake aggression for strength. They are the ones who grow up to marry alcoholics and abusers and such. No, it is no myth that SOME women like "bad boys."

I agree with you and I didn't suggest it was a myth. All I am saying is that the 'nice guys/jerks' paradigm isn't productive. 'Nice guys' use it as a justification for their niceness and it assures them that even though women pass them up, they are in fact the 'better man.'

It's a horrible mindset - its a construct created to rationalize failure with women. The 'strawman' is that they pin their inadequacy on that construct to lament it, rather than take steps to change things and enjoy a good romantic relationship.
