In the photo, Fonda is sitting on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun clasping her hands, singing, a rapturous smile on her face, a North Vietnamese helmet on her head, surrounded by grinning North Vietnamese soldiers.

Might as well have been Kerry in the photo.

one of the most disgusting people in american life.

she used her hollywood status to avoid prosecution for treason.

meanwhile, the american p.o.w.'s were abused by her treason.

next, she contributed to an anti-war, anti-american climate that diminished in the public eye the service of americans in the military. for example, shouts and rocks were thrown at military personnel as they returned to the states.

finally, her movie on the nuclear plant created a climate of hysteria about nuclear energy, prohibiting the expansion nuclear energy production in the united states. meanwhile, europe has a cheap, non-arab source of energy. also, china is now building 40 nuclear plants.

This dingbat really ticks me off. Screaming about her commie love at every turn, yet when she gets low on cash it`s only capitalism for Ms. Hanoi, putting out excercise videos now her autobiography. Freggin` mutt. Why John Walker Lindh is doing 20 years while this b*tch gets to live the life of a billionaire is something I`ll never undestand in a million years. They both did the same exact thing. Ms. Hanoi probably even worse. I can`t say I ever recall seeing a picture of Walker Lindh behind a gun with the enemy.

She is trying to sell books, any softening is just to increase her appeal. She hasn't changed a bit.

Geez, will you stop it already. You're making a convincing argument for abortion. I've been steamed at that bitch for decades. I still think there's a huge market for urinal targets with Hanoi Jane's picture.

"I will go to my grave regretting that...?

She only regrets that she was photographed sitting on the anti-aircraft gun, not that she did it.

Treason is treason and no amount of apologizing will undo the pain American soldiers suffered because of her <sarcasm> brilliant protest </sarcasm>.

make that infamous – image of Jane Fonda from her years protesting the Vietnam War..

This is another thing that ticks me off.."Protesting"?? Hanoi didn`t "protest", she took sides with the enemy and fought against this country. There`s a big difference.

"Fonda was on CBS'"Late Show with David Letterman" Wednesday night and Letterman asked how she feels about the war in Iraq. Fonda got a big hand from Letterman's audience when she said, "I think the war is wrong. I think it's a mistake and I think we that should get out."

What is it with these people(?)! Ok, I can see opposing 2 years ago(I think they were wrong then and now), BUT after all we know about Saddams Iraq, after Jan. 30, after what;s happening in the middle east, I just don't see how they can look at themslves in the mirror.
They're moral midgets!

IMHO they will still be bad mouthing the war 5 years from now when we are out and the Iraq is a strong and functioning democracy. It's in their genes

I read an op-ed piece on IBD this Friday about her actions in Vietnam. Let me quote.

"Fonda's betrayal extends beyond a mere photo-op. Her actions in prolonging the war, undermining U.S. morale and participating in an integral part of Hanoi's war strategy involved more than a two-minute lapse of sanity. It contributed to the deaths of millions in Southeast Asia. If she's haunted by anything, it should be that.

Aside from a few photos, Fonda doesn't regret much, justifying the rest of what she did by saying: "Our government was lying to us and men were dying because of it, and I felt that I had to do anything that I could to expose the lies and help end the war.

But millions of loyal Americans who also opposed the war never traveled to the capital of a country that was killing our troops and torturing our prisoners. Fonda spoke several times on Radio Hanoi where she implored our troops to give up.

"I don't know what your officers tell you," she said once, "but (your) weapons are illegal and the men who are ordering you to use these weapons are war criminals." She told the world that Americans were being treated wonderfully and were in "good health."

Navy Capt. David Hoffman and civilian POW Michael Benge were brutally tortured simply because they refused to participate in a Fonda photo-op. When they and others returned home, Fonda said the claims of starvation and torture by them and others could only come from "hypocrites and liars.""

They think war is wrong but they have no problem emboldening mass murderers, tyrants, terrorists and commie thugs. Saddam defies the UN for 12 years but God forbid they should protest him. Heaven forbid they should protest communism or Castro or Al-qaeda. We didn`t start this war, Saddam Hussein did in concert with people like Fonda who encouraged him every step of the way. Let`s not forget in February of 2003 Saddam Hussein let it be known that he was willing to step down, I think North Korea even offered him asylum. They next day they had that record breaking "protest" in Europe after which Saddam denied he was stepping down and told the UN inspectors to get lost.
