Bush was 'moved' by papal funeral President said he felt a spiritual peace at the wake

WASHINGTON - Jetting back from Rome on Air Force One, President Bush on Friday called the papal funeral a high point of his presidency, describing the ceremony as a stirring, emotional experience that fortified his religious faith.

"I knew the ceremony today would be majestic, but I didn't realize how moved I would be by the service itself," Bush said.

High Point? maybe personally, but as for his Presidency, I would say going to Iraq over Thanksgiving to be with the troops is high up on that list. Maybe getting reelected too....

Oh no. Another 'God Drenched Moment'. The left will be furious with this. God bless Bush, warts and all, despite his failings. After all, we all have failings.

We should never take for granted the righteousness of a president who can shamelessly talk in spiritual terms. It might not last much longer. We should savor moments like this, those of us who thirst for The Water.

FReegards....

Arthur, are you trying to pay Bush some kind of compliment, even backhandedly?

If so, it's hard to tell.

We should never take for granted the righteousness of a president who can shamelessly talk in spiritual terms.

And you might want to at least TRY to not be so obvious.

I took it to mean that Bus is not ashamed, as in "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation."

I did mean it to be a compliment. The word, 'shameless' was meant as an impish tweak of the left.

I guess I just always associate that word with extreme sarcasm. Pardon me. :-)

I listen to a lot of Rush. I guess he rubbed off a bit. Bush must pay for this, I hope you are aware. He can't pull this Christianity talk off without paying the piper. That's one reason why I like him, despite any disagreements I may have with him. FReegards....

We'll have to be prepared to stand up for him.

"We'll have to be prepared to stand up for him."

When it comes to his love of God, you bet I will. FReegards....

I think Bush is a great president. who isn't afraid of expressing his faith.

And it was a nice funeral, a typical Catholic funeral everyone gets-minus the crowd and the whole vatican membership of course. It gave people a chance to see why Catholism is the greatest Christian church. You can go and see the tomb of St. Peter, The very first Pope of the Church, Christ's apostle.
The history of the ages in such plain view is worth the trip to the vatican for a holiday alone. It's awsome to stand in a spot where so much of history took place.
