I spoke with TC late this afternoon and he sounded strong and in a good mood. He was awaiting a couple of more tests today and maybe surgery tomorrow though I don't see how they can do the operation if they were still lacking tests late today.
He was pleased that Eaker was going to start a prayer thread though he thought Brad's Gramma or Logan's Nana would do a far better job, given that they, unlike Eaker, can in fact read. He also wanted everyone to know that it will be sometime before he can reply or thank y'all.
In about a month he will be moving about a hundred miles west of Houston, and no I will not say where. I do think he will need some help for a few months and was hoping we might put together 4 groups to each go visit one week a month to take him food, straighten up his home, mow the grass and get the garbage out. I would be happy to go once a month and recruit 2 or 3 more people. If you would be willing to join me or start your own team please FReepmail me. PLEASE try to find it in your heart to help. I foresee one trip per team/per month from May through at least July.
Also understand that until I'm sure who you are, I will NOT give you his location.
Thanks and please pray.........
All who know Cowboy are aware that he is always doing for others and would never, ever ask for help - I have reminded him that it is his turn to allow us to repay his kindness - we may have to duct tape him down to allow us to help him - I'm pretty sure I have a roll of duct tape around but I'll make a note to buy extra......
My momma always told me, "Dog, it might be brutal, but if it's true, you can say it."
You just you wait until TheMom gets home and reads this to me!!!
I was really very worried about his move and his recuperation! I'm too far away to help, elsewise I'd be there to help in a N.Y. minute.
I need y'all to read #174 please.
TC
You old coot! You better get your Texas butt in gear and get better, pronto! That's an order! TT needs you as do the rest of us. You'd better be very careful and recover very quickly, otherwise I'll be forced to send you a care package full of my world famous Mexican goop. Believe me, after my world famous Mexican goop spends a couple of days in the postal system, you'll never want to eat any mexican food at all.
Hmmm, 100 miles west of Houston. That's not quite far west enough to be in the heart of the hill country. If I remember correctly 100 miles west of Houston is pretty darned close to the old Chicken Ranch. Did I miss something or does old Marvin Zindler still have that closed down? Or are you planning on renovating one of the buildings?
All kidding aside, my prayers are with you and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Please put Logan's family on the list..... we'll be there!!
I've been known, under duress, to operate a vacuum cleaner.
I'd be honored to help.
The last time we spoke on the phone, his attitude was good. He was muttering about how getting old is so hard at times.
It seems he got his Preparation 'H' mixed up with the Poli-Grip and was saying something about that he was walkin g kinda funny, but hey - my gums don't itch!
TC will pull through this without any trouble.
Sometimes I'm not quite sure who I am but I don't reckon it'll detract
from my ability to help! You let me know what needs done and I bet I can do it.
Besides, my Chevy is BIGGER than TC's.
