The Egyptian government isn't the source for the story about the honors given to the Israelis. I guess they're the source for the information about not liking it, but since they're the horse's mouth as to that fact, I'm not sure what your objection is.

I'm not sure what your objection is. My objection is to accepting Egypt's story that they were terrorists.
Maybe spies or just persecuted Egyptian Jews.

Well, to be perfectly blunt, the Israelis were honoring people who firebombed US facilities in Egypt in 1954. Perhaps you think that's okay, but I have a little problem with that.
Why Israel would want to re-open that dark page in their history and HONOR it is beyond me.

It's not generally a zottable offense, but it's definitely bad form for many reasons. When one changes the headline to make a grossly offensive assertion out of it which is contrary to current conservative thinking, yeah, it probably deserves the zot penalty.
I'm not at all defending the poster here. I do think the actual text of the story deserves more serious discussion than simply Viking Kitten pictures.
