Interesting!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of good stuff that is worthy attention. I keep separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson, Lee Harris, David Warren, Orson Scott Card. You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

By that standard, anyone with negative views of the Bush administration or the war in Iraq is an ally of Zarqawi. Suffice it to say that I don't think this mode of argumentation -- construing liberal dissenters as supporters of terrorists -- is appropriate for people living in republics and democracies.

Paraphrasing: "Just because we believe and say many of the same things as terrorists, don't say we support the terrorists, and not our troops and our country. Despite very little evidence of support for the latter."

Wow, Berube showed himself to be exactly what Horowitz describes - the prototypical leftist who when pressed with a well-supported intellectual argument responds instead with name calling, completely unable to muster an intellectual argument in support of his own position. A very skilful skewering of the left by Horowitz, with a disappointing but not unexpected performance by Berube.

the website >>>www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org<<<

Sure looks like it has the loonies listed in about the same way that I feel about them.

Berube has been measured and found wanting.

Great article.

Thanks for posting. I look forward to reading the exchange with Jenson whom I thoroughly loathe.

"It’s quite another thing -- an indefensible thing, I think -- to suggest, as this database does, that there is a ‘network’ linking people like Katie Couric to Mohammed Atta, Zacarias Moussaoui to Roger Ebert. So this ‘network’ deliberately confuses the distinction between people who criticize Lynne Stewart and Ramsey Clark and people who support them, and this fact alone renders the very idea of a ‘network’ incoherent."

Ummmm...Berube, my man, the people that criticize Lynn Stewart and Ramsey Clark are call "Conservatives" and the scumbags who support her are called "Scumbags"....I think the distinction is pretty clear. There are no Conservatives listed on discoverthenetwork.com and there are plenty of scumbags listed.

It's as clear as the cankles on the Beast (when she's not sporting the pantsuit at least).
