Just heard a "this just in" flash on KFI AM640 in Los Angeles that the police in Las Vegas have executed a search warrant on the home of the woman who found a finger in her Wendy's chili. Police suspect the finger may that of the woman's dead aunt.
You can say that again!!!!
I had hoped that it wasn't.
Does that count as some kind of garnish out in Cali?
You know... the only thing that made any sense was that this was a setup for a lawsuit.
I just didn't see how a food processor could have a person lose a finger and not know about it, let alone shut the plant down.
Fickle Finger of Fate...
LOL...I'll set em up for you and you can knock them out of the ballpark..
"Don't give the knuckledraggers any ideas! Can't you just see Nike getting sued over a newly-opened, but already-occupied, gym shoe?"
It might help them get a leg up on the competition.
I saw a brief interview of this lady who didn't sound like the sharpest knife in the drawer. That's when I got to thinking that she probably planted the finger, hoping to score some big lawsuit bucks. What an idiot. DNA and a close (relative!) connection to the "victim" would be the first thing authorities would look into.
When I was a kid I found a moth baked into my pot roast. My dad just pulled it out and told me to keep eating.
But the settlement against her by Wendy's for lost income will strip her of everything she owns for life. And I'm not sure it shouldn't.
GUILTY
We knew it was a ladyfinger, we just didn't know it was her auntie's! What a story.
I don't know what makes me feel more sick to my stomach...the idea of a finger in my chilli or some of the jokes you guys are posting.
Hehehe. Ahhh...I love the smell of double entendres in the evening.
I get to do my first ever Free Republic victory dance!
I am the first freeper who predicted/called this when the story was initially posted!
Not the dreaded finger plant. Oh me oh my, wave my settlement bye.
Cant put a finger on it?
What's that fly doing in your soup?!
Doesn`t surprise me , her story just didn`t add up from the get go.
It had to have been planted. I guess Wendys is breathing a sigh of relief. I bet their chili sales still are in the pits for awhile though.
Too bad Wendys can`t clean her out in court from the money they have lost because of her scam. You know they won`t sue her, she probably doesn`t have anything for them to take.
