We still don't know the identity of the unfortunate elderly victim. That poor woman. Will the story become even more bizarre and twisted when that comes out?

It's a gorgeous setting, but one has to ask why sane people would choose to live in Northern California any more.

I don't understand the silence of the victim. Does she fear a larger conspiracy of social workers-who-aim-to-kill?

Statistically, violent attacks like this are much rarer in this area than in most other major metropolitan areas. Most of our criminals are devoted to pursuing "quality of life" crimes. This was a very unusual incident.

Don't make the mistake of equating the SF Bay Area with all of Northern California. The Bay Area is a relatively small (geographically) enclave of extreme liberalism.
