One of my Senators is a Dem and I enjoy giving an earful to his staff who listen politely.
I make sure the Aide takes my address & phone number and I ask for a written response to my comments!
I agree wholly. It's better to take the few moments to contact your representative- whether you think they will listen or not. Because so few people do take the time and effort, your phone call, email, etc. represents more than just your opinion to Washington. I forget how many constituents each contact (on average) means to Carl Congressman or Susie Senator, but its not a small number by any means.
