Look at what we were up against, and we still won.
I can't remember what the document was, but isn't this the SECOND time Democratic aides have found CD's in that park???
Anyone else remember this????
I have to wonder if the '04 election had really been a fair fight whether GWB wouldnt have won with 60%+ and carried 45 or more states. With this left wing cabal, including the "media," doing all they could to destroy Mr Bush it makes it all the more satisfying that he beat them anyway.
Wait a minute, it was Rove's plan but he copied it from Hillary's plan? Doesn't that mean the dems had it all along?
Sometimes, reality is the best joke of all.
The DNC spent a lot of money on "focus" groups, stole documents, forged letters, and still didn't realize that their agenda is not backed by the majority of the public.
Yes, I vaguely recall that another CD had been found. This is all I could find on it, but it appears to have been created by Mehlman:
"For Democrats who spend a good deal of their time looking for the Mark of Rove, an exciting moment came in June, 2002, when a backup computer disk was found in Lafayette Park, across from the White House, containing two PowerPoint presentations, one by Kenneth Mehlman, Rove's deputy and the White House political director, called "The 2002 Challenge," and the other by Rove himself, called "The Strategic Landscape." (Inevitably, speculation has begun over whether the Lafayette Park PowerPoint, as it has been referred to, is the Rosetta stone to the mind of Karl Rove or a piece of deliberate disinformation designed to throw the Democrats off the scent.)"

Soros spent $25M and all he got was this red map. Tsk. |
So Rove perfects Hillary's plan, Soros perfects Rove's plan, and Bush wins.
Actually this is good news. It means that when tactics are even, Republicans win.
What's that saying about fools and their money?
As I've sorted this out from news reports, the issue is that these canvassers appear to have been paid "per person" identified or registered. As we now know, many of those were bogus. Also, many of the "registered" would have responded to the pleas of the paid canvasser simply to register so the guy could get his money.
What it boiled down to is that a volunteer wouldn't waste time on someone not truly interested.
A guy trying to make a buck by signing people up would have incentive to go after those who weren't truly interested.
She did not work for the campaign directly. She worked for a media company that did some work for the Bush team. I think she ended up with some jail time.
That was another incident, as York points out. The CD found in park episode was well known at the time and thoroughly discussed.
The CD at issue here got into dem hands by other unknown (and most likely illicit, of course) means.
Can you back that up with some rock solid references?
These are same people who feign everlasting righteous indignation about Nixon and Watergate. They know that Bernstein, Woodward and the WaPo can be relied upon to be completely silent this time around. And they are correct in their assessment.

"Democratic Senate aide found a CD-ROM lying on the ground in Lafayette Park"
If you found a CD-Rom laying on the ground, would you put it in your computer? There are people on Bush's staff that are giving documents to the Democrat party. Also, didn't this prove that there was coordination between the Dems and the 527 groups?"
You forget that we are dealing with liberal Democrats of limited intelligence (I know, that is redundant!) who are, to be kind, unsophisticated.
The word "disinformation" comes to mind. Counterintelligence too.
Yes, I did see the York interview.
Thanks for posting this, Quilla.
FR just isn't a fun place to discuss anymore, though. It looks and feels like the overall IQ has dropped 30 points.
Not you, of course, but the general kook quotient is almost unbearable.
