Within the last month or so the EU published an economic forecast which said something to the effect that it would take the EU 40 years to achieve the economic strength of the U.S. I've searched FR and Googled it without success.
Anyone remember it or know where I might find it?

That prediction would require the EU to actually move forward--something I doubt is going to happen.
You can add that EU will fall appart in about 5- 8 years, like that other (Soviet) Union.
I agree. They may keep a common currency, license plates and allow passage without passports, but I predict that is all the EU will amount to.
