Yes. Actually, these things can make our case stronger. It's like the famous urban myth that the Nazis banned guns. THEY DIDN'T. They didn't have to! The Weimar Republic (that would be, the Democracy for those of you in Rio Linda) banned guns in 1926 as a means to control the "mob violence." Guess the Nazis didn't qualify as a "mob."
There is no question that the Founders, almost to a man, thought that the support of God was critical to the Republic.

I did not know that guns were banned in 1926 by the Weimar Republic, thanks. I'll be checking out your book. It's off topic for this thread, but here is an accurate quote,(as opposed to the one attributed to Hitler) by Himmler:
