Koppel is 65, about the same age as Rather. I would think that the networks would be thinking about somebody younger and more appealing. Then again, I'd be happy to see all of the networks, fold their biased news divisions, and then Fox News could just kick the crap out of CNN and MSNBC all day long.

Honestly, "Nightline's" ratings have been horrid for years now. Do they really think Koppel will improve "This Week"?? If they hire him, they get what's coming to them.

I'm definitely thinking that the old-timey media should start thinking DIVERSITY!! How come there are no black anchor persons? I'd like to see a young(ish) black woman with humongous ta-tas! We have enough old white guys on the declining "news" programs. When are the mustache-petes of n the information highway going to play be the same rules that the rest of society has? Where is Jesse Jackson? Whey aren't the leaders of the black community being consulted about all these vacancies?
