Your first definition of FROBLs is the generally accepted one by those of us which constitute the anti-illegal alien contingent on FR.

Because the opposing side objected to the "open borders" tag, saying they were really not in favor of open borders (perhaps only a very few were), we developed what we believe to be a fairer tag: SOILs (Soft On Illegals Lobby). However, since no good deed goes unpunished, it turns out the soft on illegals side also objects to SOILs (our response: tough).

CALS = Criminal Alien Lobby. At the moment, I don't recall which one of us came up with that one. To be fair, not all of the SOILs are also CALs (perhaps only a couple).
