I just heard on the radio about a Chinese food delivery man who spent 4 and a half days stuck in an elevator in the Bronx. .... After he made the delivery.

The downtown hotels I can think of are the very expensive Driskill and the Omni, there's the Hilton.. ummm .. one right on Town Lake - can't think of the name.... dang.
You'll have to check with Priceline I guess.
