President Bush seems to have a busy, intense career and he and Laura Bush do fine.
I don't think George & laura Bush, a long time married couple with more than a quarter century of history together, really compare to Laura Ingram and her soon-to-wed. I wish it did, but I really don't follow your logic. George & Laura didn't marry in the East Room.
They also have a rather healthy contingent of staff who take care of an enormous array of details for them every day, personal and official: supply hauling, food buying and preparation, advance men/women, letter answering, travel arranging, wardrobe making, airplane piloting, chauffeurs, maids, fitness trainers who come to the WH, that sort of thing, things your average talk show host / columnist / TV commentator doesn't have.
