"Two years ago I went through airport security at Logan, and was appalled to see a female Muslim in headgear doing security checks."

The government is stupid. They hire the enemy to protect us from the enemy. 99% of all terrorists are Muslim, yet they hire Muslims as security guards. The government has become even more incompetent then usual recently.

Time to dissolve the Federal government and allow state rule for awhile. Let the state governments compete for our tax dollars and we might finally get a measure of competence in government.

Actually, we don't need that radical a move.

All we need to do is go back to a pre-New Deal fedgov.

Then, when the Usual Suspects show up and call you a Dopertarian Anarchist, just point out to them that the party that opposed the New Deal at the time was the Republicans, and that nothing could be a more mainstream Republican point of view than that illegitimate New Deal expansions of government power should be hacked off at the knees.

I don't think so. She lives in the Detroit area. I've seen her on cable, and it is usually from there. Plus she's written some stuff about it, including one on WND, called something like, "My Terrorist Enabling Neighbors." She talks about this stuff on Stern all the time. I doubt she's shocked in the least about AQ in Detroit.

Thanks for the ping.

What is even more scary is all the ones that are still working there and their AQ connections haven't been discovered.

Thanks for the ping.

Homeland security is a mess. Profiling works. I heard that people will be required to show passports to re-enter the US, but it will take till 2008 to get it up and running. Pathetic.

Joe Scarborough was cheerleading for the Minutemen tonight. He said they reminded him of neighborhood patrols.

RE: "Soldiers don’t have unfettered free speech rights. The “Disloyal Statements” provision of Article 134 of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice provides for penalties by court-martial for “disloyal statements” made "with the intent to promote disloyalty or disaffection toward the United States by any member of the armed forces or to interfere with or impair the loyalty to the United States." Ahmed’s treasonous statements fit the U.S. government’s “Manual for Courts Martial‘s” definition of punishable disloyal statements, like a glove: “Examples include praising the enemy, attacking the war aims of the United States...A declaration of personal belief can amount to a disloyal statement if it disavows allegiance owed to the United States by the declarant.”" Unlike Ahmed, soldiers have been court-martialed and brought up on Article 134 “disloyal statement” charges for: A letter to the editor questioning the war in Iraq; Comments to a reporter questioning the war in Iraq, but saying he’d do his part and fight; and Telling other soldiers he would not fight in Vietnam if ordered to. But those soldiers had one thing in common: Unlike Ahmed, they’re not Muslim. They didn’t get handled with politically correct kid gloves. And unlike Ahmed, not one of them praised the enemy and wished for America’s failure. Yet, Ahmed was rewarded with an honorable discharge and evading his required duty, allowing him to get screening jobs at airports. "

OMG...a 'copycat crime'??? Is it just me...? ...or does this guy sound a lot like that Lt.(jg) who went to Paris to meet with the Viet Cong back in the '70s...???   ...Didn't THAT guy get off scot free too???!!!   ...and didn't HE end up with some high-paying job with the Federal Government too???!!!

This CAN'T be 'just a coincidence' ...CAN it...???
