This Al Qaeda symp - one Sadeq Naji Ahmed was given an honorable discharge by the Air Force. Despite being a fan of Osama Bin Laden, that America deserved to be attacked, that he wouldn't fight if the U.S acted in Iraq and that U.S aircraft over Iraq should crash. After making disloyal and treasonous statements as a U.S Air Force airman, Ahmed gets a politically correct kid glove honorable discharge. Then the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) hired him as a baggage security screener at its Detroit Metro Airport! He had almost a year to endanger American lives on behalf of Al Qaeda. Remember, this happened four years AFTER 9/11. What a monumental federal government screwup. We got lucky.

Unlike Ahmed, soldiers have been court-martialed and brought up on Article 134 disloyal statement charges for:
- A letter to the editor questioning the war in Iraq;
- Comments to a reporter questioning the war in Iraq, but saying hed do his part and fight; and
- Telling other soldiers he would not fight in Vietnam if ordered to.
But those soldiers had one thing in common: Unlike Ahmed, theyre not Muslim. They didnt get handled with politically correct kid gloves. And unlike Ahmed, not one of them praised the enemy and wished for Americas failure.
Yet, Ahmed was rewarded with an honorable discharge and evading his required duty, allowing him to get screening jobs at airports.

In December 2001, Ahmed became a baggage screener at Metro Airport, when it was handled by.....
a private ALIEN BRITISH-HINDU non-U.S. Citizens Only (INS) contractor...... That?s bad enough???

I've flown to Detroit Metro at least four times since 2002. I suppose its small comfort no incident happened while I was disembarking.

The author seems shocked that there are AQ sympathizers in Detroit.
The best thing about Detroit is . . . Windsor.

Its definitely more tranquil over the border. Whatever else you can say about Detroit, the river view skyline of the city as seen from the Canadian side is stunning.

Had Ahmed been a non-Muslim, the government would have gotten tough. Pretty much says it all.

Two years ago I went through airport security at Logan, and was appalled to see a female muslim in headgear doing security checks.

No surprise here....I've only flown twice since 9/11. Both times the jerks at the security were rude and offensive in singling out individuals for remove the shoes and associated BS. What a bunch of clowns, only one airline has security that works. That airline is known as El Al, check the record.
I will continue to drive anytime I can over flying, where I can carry my own weapon to stop terrorists. Puts a projectile bigger than finger nail clippers, at a lot greater speed!

Detroit Metro is a disaster waiting to happen. We flew out of and into Metro in February. What a cluster f#ck. Huge confusion at the Northworst counter due to delayed flights coming in. Instead of setting up seperate lines to help people who had missed flights, they had them mixed in with people who were still on time but trying to get baggage checked thus causing more missed flights. I spent considerable time in the line and the TSA people seemed to be overwhelmed. I couldn't help thinking that they couldn't be real effective under the circumstances.
When we got to the top of the escalator, there was such a mass of humanity gathered there that you were forced to stop momentarily. My wife caught hell from some fat Ilsa Koch lookalike TSA person for stopping, and was threatened with being ejected by the fat slob.
All this mayhem goes on in the middle of the biggest concentration of muslims outside the middle east. Real comforting.

"The Minuteman Project: doing the job our government doesn't want to do"Hey, if Americans don't want to work for the US government, maybe we can get some illegal aliens to do it, and it'll be cheaper, too! Let's outsource the US government!

Let's see:
1. Left whined that TSA had to employ gov-union labor.
2. Left whined that we can't profile.
And so, we get more of those great leftist results.
To: Maceman
Two years ago I went through airport security at Logan, and was appalled to see a female muslim in headgear doing security checks. Well, we wouldn't want to "profile", would we?
Personally, I'd like to profile the gentlemen down at my local gas station and convenience store.
If I were a cop, I'd do a lot of profiling. I might not talk about it, but I'd do it.
To: Maceman
...appalled to see a female muslim in headgear... Btw, I think that's called a "burka". Something like that.
She was probably also wearing some C4.
