Looks like the black world is getting a bit bigger - at least around Washington. Is it such a good idea to have such a high concentration of classified facilities in the same geographic area?

Of course a cynic would say that this glut of new secure work around the DC area is featherbedding for government contractors, who don't want the value of their projects so closely monitored by the public.

At least Sandy Burgler won't be allowed in any of these secure facilities - at least not for another 3 years. /sarcasm

It's all for naught. AQ isn't the KGB and isn't trying to be. Any expenditure can be justified these days if you invoke 9/11.

I worked for a company, in the past, that did some secure work. The security measures for the conference room were quite impressive and that was twenty years ago. I can only imagine what they are like today.

Around DC. Yeah they need them there, but they also have a lot of facilities cleared for this type of work. And the facilities that are built for it are good to go for many years to come. Lockheed build a bunch of such buildings in their facility in Austin, only to abandon them in the 1990's. They are still there though, and could be repurchased.

I don't think anything is too dense anywhere. Except in a company facility where they use several buildings, often with the inter space fenced and protected.

The only way Berger will get his clearance back is if the democrats get back in. He has good credentials with them, cause of his loyality.

You realize, of course, that anybody who actually knows anything about the facilities mentioned won't be commenting?
