Cheney has it dead wrong. We do not have, nor do we need an untouchable legal "priest class". All three co-equal branches of government derive their power from teh consent of the governed, as expressed by their collective elected representatives.
He may be wrong, but will DeLay stand up to him? And will the President get behind DeLay's actions? I'm concerned that the White House may not be interested in following this issue up the same way that DeLay is, and perhaps may use some influence to limit or even squelch it.
