It was also noted that he is most likely experiencing periods of ecstasy/rapture that he has oft slipped into when in fervent prayer, and not an unconsciousness.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost As it was in the beginning Is now and ever shall be World without end. Amen

God speed this great man with a huge heart of love and compassion, who reached out and touched humanity for the better.

Have mercy on us sinners. We will miss him. Grieving...

There are two near me. It sounds quiet, but it's raining quite a bit outside.

I don't believe in coincidence.
I agree with you,
but I would add Lady Thatcher to your list.

I love it when the cables just air the prayers being said at St. Peter's.

Each seems to take turns doing it and Fox is doing that just now.

You could do any of those things. I'm quite certain you'd be welcome at any Catholic church, or you could pray at your own temple or synagogue, or for that matter, in the easy chair of your own study.

I suspect congregations of all faiths will have memorials of some kind for a man of his historical stature.

Any congregation worth the name Catholic would welcome you to join them. Kneel when they do or not, as you're comfortable. Pray during a service, or in any church you find open.

All prayers would be welcome. I hope any other Catholics here will feel free to add or correct this, or put a finer point on it.

Oh Thank you. I was driven...or should I say "guided." I have such deep love for this wonderful man. I saw him in Baltimore and felt his aura. My life was forever changed.

I started the thread at 4:30 am. I kept rewriting and adding things I found. I thought the mods would bump me off or something, because I had to keep using the "preview" button and stay open to the FR. I don't know if they saw that. If they did, it probably drove them nuts.

But the Holy Father's spirit was with me, I know. I just wanted so very much to honor him in my way. I cannot get to Mass today. This was my attendance.

I remember hearing the story of when he was at a youth service at Madison Square Garden. The crowd started chanting "John Paul Two! We love you!". When he got to the dias, he motioned for silence and said "John Paul Two loves you, too!" The crowd went berserk.

I'm not Catholic, but I grieve with my Catholic brothers and sisters on the loss of JP II. Even so, I know in my heart if hearts that he's Upstairs with his Father, enjoying the wonder and glory of Heaven, and bowing in praise and honor before Jesus Christ his Lord.

A couple nights ago, a very liberal radio host in Seattle asked "When John Paul II dies, what can you say is the impact his life had on your life? Any at all?" He asked that question in ignorance and hatred of what JP II stood for. I can answer that question now: He impacted my life in that he helped show me how to forgive (Mehmet Ali Acga), and how to love (everyone).

Welcome Home, Karol. See you someday.

In di nomine et Patri, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti, Amen.

Peace be with you, too.
God truly blessed us with "Papa Giovani Paolo II" didn't He?
Going to 5:00PM Mass.

This is like a trip a relative is going to make. You know they're going to a great place, a better place, full of happiness for them; yet we're sad because we won't see them for a while.

So it's sadness mixed with joy, and how else can you say it? We're going to miss you John Paul II. May we see you again in eternity.

Every moment of life is a precious gift from God. So is every moment of eternal life through Christ Jesus, whom God gave to be the Proptitation for the sin of the world. The Lord comfort His church through the sweet preaching of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ till the end of the age.
