Florida's Department of Children and Families had received nearly 90 allegations that Michael Schiavo had abused his wife in recent years - but a Florida judge ruled yesterday that DCF summaries of those allegations must remain secret.

I'm just to sick of this whole mess to go back and look through my posts for the last week, but the Florida statutes Chapter 765 legally defines 'PVS' as a state of unconsciousness.... which Terri wasn't.

Terri wasn't unconscious or PVS... however, the Schindlers' first attorney apparently got them to agree to stipulate that Terri was in PVS. Looking back, this was probably, unfortunately, their biggest error. I'm not saying that Greer, Felos, Schiavo & company were correct... just that the Schindlers were outmaneuvered.

From what I've read, the Schindlers' first attorney, some blonde woman (her pic was on FR recently), got the Schindlers to stipulate that Terri was PVS. Sounds like that is the biggest error made in this case by their side. At any rate, once that had been stipulated, apparently Greer had no interest in reviewing new evidence.

As for Gibbs, I don't think he is a bad lawyer (he sure was busy filing all those motions and affidavits), but Felos obviously outmaneuvered him, and possibly already had Greer in his pocket.

I agree; that was my point. I don't know what her case papers were like but she was very informed and knowledgeable in her interviews.

It seems strange to me that nurses complained and nothing was done, I am sure someone must have asked some questions. I wonder if there is a nursing syndrome much like the Stockholm syndrome of hostages where they are around patients long enough they start imaging they hear things or see actions that arent there.

I am pretty sure there was an investigation. I dont think any Law enforcement agency would dismiss such charges without some sort of investigation, The fact that some nurses were fired and nothing was done with Michael tells me that either nothing was found or the findings went against those who did the the reporting.

I certainly dont see any evidence of collusion between Michael and investigating officers.
