---The outspoken Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bulawayo, Pius Ncube, said some Zimbabweans were praying for Mugabe to die. Since the man (Mugabe) will not go on his own, some people are praying that God will take him. Mugabe has shown himself to be heartless and has left people with no option. There is nothing wrong with that. Of course it is up to God, the Archbishop told SW Radio Africa.
He said it was not something he did regularly, but he had at some time in the past also prayed for Mugabes death - when he looked at the suffering of the people. ---
This is not something an Archbishop should be indulging in. Aren't Christians enjoined to return good for evil?
Should they be praying for Mugabe to have a long life?
I'm confused.

It would be profoundly good for most people in that troubled land if profoundly evil people sometimes became targets for lightening bolts.
Read the imprecatory psalms, and outgrow the notion that we are called to be nicer than God.
I pray for the removal of some people for the sake of humanity. It's asking for God's mercy. Just like God has off'd some pretty bad people in the past. Look at Arafatty for instance.
