What a wimp-out. Referring to Terri's "families" -- as if the adulterous bastard who had her murdered is on the same level as the mother who bore her and desperately tried to save her. Mr. Bush, wake up!

Why? Why does Michael Schiavo deserve condolences? Do you think Scott Peterson deserves condolences? Schiavo fought for a decade to have Terri starved to death. Why does he deserve condolences?

I would add that if something such as this would make anyone withdraw their support for President Bush or make remarks like they are sorry that they voted for him, they need to take a look at the bigger picture.

Michael does not DESERVE condolences, but the President must show class and dignity in the office he holds. He could not have said it much differently.

He offered "condolences" to Terri's "families" WHY DOES MICHAEL SCHIAVO - WHO FOUGHT TIRELESSLY FOR YEARS TO HAVE HER STARVED - DESERVE "CONDOLENCES"? Would somebody please explain this to me? As of Terri's first Memorial Service this evening, for people who came from out of town, her name is now TERRI SCHINDLER. She is free from you know who at last!
A lovely woman died today in a manner which appalls many........can you save laying blame and trashing the president for another day?
I think it was a comment, as in "her families grief". Nothing inarticulate about that.
