Perhaps more than the law, I fear the attitude of our profession in sanctioning infanticide and in moving inexorably down the road from abortion to infanticide, to the destruction of a child who is socially embarrassing... Check out GATTACA, an excellent movie that explores a future world were the 'invalid', those less than genetically perfect, are relegated to a second class existence. It involves an 'invalid' who tries to pass himself off as genetically pure.
