Wasn't this appointment going to go through over the international community's dead body?

Paul Wolfowitz approved as World Bank president
Thu Mar 31, 2005 01:42 PM ET WASHINGTON, March 31 (Reuters) - Paul Wolfowitz, known worldwide as an architect of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, was approved as the World Bank's new president on Thursday.
His nomination by U.S. President George W. Bush was sealed in a unanimous vote by the World Bank's 24 executive directors, the bank confirmed.
Wolfowitz said in a statement the next six months were crucial for international development policy decisions, before a U.N. summit in September on goals to reduce global poverty.

Here's one comment from over there:
that's making me start to believe in the anti-Christ. What is going on that the world just submits to the will of the Bush administration? Does he have dirt on EVERYBODY?? It's weird, they all make a big fuss about the nomination but in the end they all cave. It just seems to go on and on like this.
Hehehehehehehehe!

You gotta love that unanimous vote part! Visualize which one of those 24 slackers was gonna put his name on Condi's list by voting against. No doubt some actually thot Wolf-- was a good idea but at least a few must be card carrying members of the axis of WEASELS and have just kissed off their manhoods by going along. Anyone imagine Wolf--holding a grudge from two years ago when we weren't getting a lot of help with HIS project? He IS GONNA BE signing the checks for awhile!

Someone should send that crowd a link to an online dictionary. They seem unable to express themselves without gutter language.
