What's he going to say, "I care more for law than life and morality"?

In our opinion, you speak when there is something you can do to lead, you be quiet when you have failed to lead. You hang your head in shame.

I'm sure I'll probably get attacked for saying this, but I can't think of anything he could possibly say that would be appropriate in this situation. Let this poor family grieve in peace.

It's a little late for talking about her now, President Bush.

I hope he pleads for mercy on this nation from the Almighty, in front of all America.
Because other than that, I just can't imagine what he's going to say that's going to help, or "enlighten" us.

Wow....there's a lot of people I normally respect speaking from anger on this thread.
What a pity.

I wonder how he will justify the new court-mandated death penalties without a conviction for commission of a capital crime.

I watched the MSM the other night, and I think Michael is in for a rough ride. CNN, for example, was playing the vidiotapes of a respossive Terri, and mentioning, for the first time I'm aware, the contrary medical opinions in the case: no longer were they mouthing the "vegitative state" thing.
The big story for the MSM will be the results of the autopsy and any culpability of Michael in her wrongful demise...
I think the MSM smell blood. OJ and Jacko, move over.

I know emotions are running high right now, but please people... Take a deep breath and look at this objectively.
We are a nation of laws. The laws were followed. Yes, we disagree with the outcome of the laws but the only way to fix that is to change the law.... but NOT by doing something that betrays our principles.
Chill out.

H E A V E N I S M Y H O M E .
BY WILLIAM BAXTER.
"Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven."
I HAVE no resting-place on earth,
On which to fix my love;
But, O, my heart is yearning for
The promised rest above.
'Tis true, this earth is passing fair,
O'er which I sadly roam;
But yet it hath no charms for me,
For heaven is my home.
A pilgrim long I've wandered here;
But, with a steadfast eye,
I see a rest reserved for me,
At God's right hand on high.
Then all the joys of earth in vain
Shall tempt my feet to roam,
To seek a dwelling-place below,
Since heaven is my home.
O, were this earth as fair as when
Primeval Eden smiled,
I would not by its glowing charms
To dwell here be beguiled;
But I would seek a brighter world,
Where God has bid me come:
Then seek no more to bind me here,
For heaven is my home.

Prayers for Terri's family. A year ago today my father passed away, one day after the decision was made to no longer take him to dialysis, so I am familiar with family decisions while in the midst of the dying process (0 kidney function, alzheimer's and a very weak heart). For weeks (while having dialysis every 3 days for 4 hours) he was experiencing the skin eruptions they said Terri would develope as her kidneys shut down, they were very uncomfortable for him. He missed one treatment before he passed.
The dying process is unique. Personally, Terri only began the dying process at the removal of her feeding tube. How can that be right?
