And this country is going to SUFFER the consequences.
I understand your anger and agree with the sentiment. We agree that this is the vehicle for change . . . I just happen to believe that it's a better wedge with this outcome. The focus stays where it belongs and the legal battle rages on. Had George or Jeb acted, all of the focus would have been on them and on the power issue within the government. To me that is not the real issue. The real issue is how we treat the disabled. The real issue is preventing the euthanasia movement from seizing this opportunity. If George or Jeb had acted, they would have been empowered and this would be a win for them. Now . . . the jury is still out and the fight rages on.
I don't think so. Millions of Americans of goodwill have prayed and done what they could in this issue. Sometimes God allows things to happen to change hearts, and teach a lesson. I see that going on daily as a result of this case. Important matters of life and death are being considered now, when they may not have been had it not been for Terri Schiavo's struggle.
People around here need to realize that euthanasia of the old and sick -- by the millions -- has been going on for a very long time in this country -- it's just been done in individual cases, out of the limelight. Now the light is on, and those charged with making such decisions in the future may think more about their actions.
God moves in mysterious ways, after all.
Excellent rant. Nothing more to say.
Stop with your word curses, that is flat out evil.
