This disaster will be hurting the GOP for some time and I fear it will undermine efforts to ban homo marriage, defeat the filabusters and get more conservatives on the Court. Plus, it has shown a gleeful willingness to throw away almost every conservative belief for the right to "life"

This has sickened me from the beginning as people seem to have lost sight of so much for so little.

Without life, no other right is applicable. And this isn't throwing away our ideals. It is standing up for them - something the pubs failed miserably to do. Something you should think about, I stand up for my values, they didn't. I gave up my party membership when they disowned me. Now they've disowned and disenfranchised someone far less able to defend herself. Terri was truly helpless. They're all about defending their power, defending their profit motives and disenfranchising anyone who gets in the way of that. We have a culture of political system gaming that has relegated all of us to the role af an expendable Terri Schiavo on any given issue. Terri's case has layed that bare for all to see. I owe no allegiance to a party that represents itself instead of us.. instead of Terri.

Just like the comments on her about the President's speech. This speech this morning was scheduled to release the Report of the Commission on Intelligence not for Terri Shiavo but some on here cannot seem to comprehend that the Country didn't stop for this one case or prefer not to so they can bash President Bush.

Started out with irritated and now just flat out disgusted with remarks I have been seeing this week. And the media has hyped everything to where I am surprised we didn't have violence.
