Our country has degenerated to the point where we may loose G-ds mercy and protection. Forgive us. RIP Terri

Yes you are right. I believe I will stick to the 'kook' threads. I feel much more at home here. Please put me on the list as one of the 'kooks'. LOLOLOL. I'm a kook, hello fellow kooks. :-)

Our country has degenerated to the point where we may loose G-ds mercy and protection. That's what I'm afraid of....will he turn his face from us.
To: Proud Conservative2
Isn't this a little presumptuous of you to think that those of us who find fault with the Bush boys have done nothing to help Terri? Wrong. Absolutely wrong.
Tell me, what have you done other than sit at the computer and defend two men who failed miserably to do their jobs....
A lot. I've been an active pro-lifer for well over twenty years, and I've been involved in this case as well, as much as I can be here in Ohio. However, I do have a nephew who flew from Tennessee to Pinellas Park to protest, and I wept when I found out that he was doing so.
I just don't believe in blaming the wrong people, and missing the whole point of what has gone wrong in this country........which is what you Bush bashers are doing.
Next question?

Read my tagline, and look up the verse in Chronicles.
If God's people humble themselves (ourselves), and ask His forgiveness, He will forgive our sins and HEAL our land.
This is not the time to give up hope. This is the time to fight for what is right, and do what is righteous.

It's beginning to look as if the atheist and leftist are doing all they can to bring down this country to their level, and they have the courts helping them do it. One little ruling from a leftist judge can do more damage to this country than 100 years of protesting. The benches are being stacked against us. They know the power in this country lays with the courts. It was proven two weeks ago by an obscure ex-probate judge.

You are completely leaving out the power and Sovereignty of God, pbrown.
That's why you are pessimistic.
God is in control.

You are completely leaving out the power and Sovereignty of God, pbrown. Tell that to Judge Greer. God is very much apart of this country. But his word is being silenced at every turn.
IE: A.C.L.U. & leftist Judges ruling from the bench.
To: ohioWfan
That's why you are pessimistic. You're reading my post wrong. You shouldn't be seeing pessimism, you should be seeing righteous indignation. That's where I'm coming from. My anger in my post should be self evident.

The pope is unconcious as per Fox.

Oh, but it's so much more than that - now you've imposed a new obligation on both individual families and society at large. All hail our new conservative platform, and who needs that limited state business anyway?

I told my hubby last night that the Pope would probably die today. From all the reports he was sinking fast. God bless him.

Oh, but it's so much more than that No it's pretty simple. "right to counsel" just like "right to privacy". What you want is to assign no meaning to the words "right to counsel" since you stipulate that only applies to an explicit provision in the law. The words "right to counsel" are unnecessary to you.

Ummm, no, what you appear to want is to take a right available during a specific proceeding and turn it into a universal and perpetual right. I've gotta tell ya, if, God forbid, something happened to my wife or child, you're suggesting that some complete stranger is going to come into our lives and tell me what my wife wants, what's best for my child. I wouldn't stand for it, nobody will stand for it, and I have serious doubts that you're bananas enough to find it acceptable in your own family life, particularly when faced with such incredibly personal decisions as what to do with an incapacitated loved one. I don't believe it for a minute, and the instant your plan gets cast in those terms, any support for it is going to disappear like smoke in the wind. Your cure is far, far worse than the disease.

And when the legal guardian and the permanent counsel disagree about the proper course of action for the incapacitated person, what then?
If your a liberal, you get the federal government to step in. It was no coincidence that policitians discussed coming up with new powers for the government to intervene at such a personal level, nor was it a coincidence the Reverend Jackson was there...
Regardless of everything, hopefully this has been a heads up to everybody to get their wills in order, or if they have children to young to create a will, to make sure they know what would happen if they faced similar circumstances.
As medical science has made it possible for people to survive using various machines, the chances of this happening elsewhere go up.
Here in Texas, while everybody was concerned with Terri Schiavo in Florida, a six-month-old child was disconnected from life support, against the wishes of the mother.
