I do indeed "have a clue" there is a difference. Just like there is a difference with what we export to Pakistan or any other country. Your statement was Russia and India had an agreement the technology would not leave Russia without India's consent. You can't be serious. How is India going to keep Russia from exporting this Technology? Russia is notorious for agreeing to one thing and doing the opposite. If you get in bed with a skunk, chances are you are going to smell like one in the morning.

This is the last I have to say on the matter, thank you very much! It is apparent we are going to have to disagree on this matter. I will defend America to the death, as I'm sure from your postings, you would do for India. However this is an American forum and I for one would like to keep it that way. If you are an Indian Nationalist please go start your own forum as I have had emails from other members of FR warning me of the India defenders here, and their inability to see any other point of view. We are Americans and that will be the overwhelming point of view.

Hmm,If I didn't tell it clearly-the weapons computer is built in India & the Russians are hardly bothered about it.They are making enough money,jointly hawking it with India & I have mentioned the Malaysian deal.If anything,Russia's arms industry thanks to collaboration with companies from Israel,Italy,France,South Africa,Great Britian among others have made inroads into numerous countries like South Korea,Greece & the UAE.Those companies have had no complaints about the Russians hawking their stuff.

About sleeping with a skunk,I don't think Russia smells any worse than Egypt,Saudi Arabia or Pakistan & we all know who is sleeping with them.

I have actually worked with MiGs, and know quite a bit about these programs. Let me tell ya one thing.. the integration of the Indian Systems is done entirely in India. The initial systems were sent to Russia with Indian Tech guys to sort out the integration issues, and once that was done.. there was no need to send stuff to Russia. The russkies offered us their tech/weapons coputers/RWR etc, and we said, balls, we have our own. They are developing their own stuff, andwanted to sell that...

You believe that Russia is benefiting from Indian tech. and that gets your goat? Is that right? Su-30Mki says that any jointly developed tech will be marketed jointly, if at all.

Okay, here goes... what is Developed by India, the Russians know shit about.. its all a black box as far as they are concerned, and in they ahve their own toys to play with. This stuff can only be marketed by India (if at all), for it is made in India, and fixed on the a/c in India. They benefit only if they steal the tech. I dont think they feel the need to.

However, for the jointly marketed stuff.. (the Brahmos Cruise missile), the IPR is with both countries, and thus tech is shared there, and jointly owned.
