This is almost comical. A group of unarmed men would "storm" the hospice, seize Terry, and take her to a "safe house." No word on whether this "safe house" would have the required medical equipment and personnel to care for her.
Next, hundreds of Florida's finest, perhaps units of the National Guard, would have converged on the "safe house", seizing back Terry and continuing with the state's policy of killing her.
All the member of the "militia" would have been sent to prison for nothing. They would have been lucky if no one were killed.
Until the judicial system is given a political enema, lawlessness will continue to make more sense. It is better to purge the legal system and make it a servant of our God-given rights once again. JimRob has the right idea. This is our future if we do nothing.
I'm sure the same thing could have crossed the mind of the folks planning the Boston Tea Party.
The longer you live with 'wrong', the less 'wrong' you see.
"Then early Americans were terrorists I guess."
So were the enemies our Founding Fathers. It was a war. The difference is, we wanted to be left alone-- both then and now.
And until we crush these judges and put them in their place, more things like this will happen at a faster rate. It would get a lot uglier.
FReegards....
"The DUmmies are getting off on Terri's imminent demise and the wrongly directed gnashing of teeth. Don't lose your perspective."
With all due respect, and I mean that sincerely, I really don't give a rats a$$ what people at DU think about Terri and the debate that conservatives are having here.
A woman is dying, if not dead yet, and I really do not care what people who just love to surf our website and laugh at us have to say.
And I hope as a '2001 member that I can call this "our" website.
A "The Insanity Continues" Ping...
"The longer you live with 'wrong', the less 'wrong' you see."
Man are we in trouble then.
I thought Norm Olsen was a nut, but to actually have people who think he should have actually done it... damn.
You should actually read the article before posting.
'Olson said the militias needed time to arrange for an ambulance, medical support staff and a safe house before the plan could be put into action.'
'Olson said the other reason for the plan was to put Florida Republican Gov. Jeb Bush, the brother of the U.S. president, on the spot.
"He would have had to send in state police or the National Guard to turn us away," Olson said. "None of us believe that he is helpless. He is the chief officer of the state and has the power of executive clemency. (Jeb) Bush was a liar when he said he couldn't do it. He knows his office has to represent the people. And judges have to know they are not infallible. All this was thwarted by Gibbs."
He said the march to the hospice would have been similar to the massive March on Washington led by Martin Luther King in 1963.'
It would have been more akin to a clown car parade.
No... THese "militia" people are Goobers. I had teh misfortune to be associated at various times with som eof these very public militia people, like Norm Olsen and the like, and they are Goobers - Not all, just the public "Oh my God! It's ZOG" types, like Norm who are just itching for a chance for a showdown with the feds... as long as it's someone else...
oooookay.
I was being sarcastic, that is why I made the South America comment.
Norm Olsen's still around?
I am not about to grovel before the law and spit on people who simply care! Nor do I appreciate hearing people spit on them. The FBI is dealing with them. Isn't that enough for you?
At least with a Democrat, you know what you're getting.
Faux Republicans are so disappointing. Democrats never let you down.
Yes, he is. This is his "Hey everybody! Look at me! Look at me! I'm still relevent!"...
Ya know, like Bo Gritz... ;)
"I thought Norm Olsen was a nut, but to actually have people who think he should have actually done it... damn."
Putting words in my mouth I see. Maybe I'm just a little fed up with a legal system that makes these 'goobers' look like saints in comparison. Then again, a cockroach is a saint compared to these death trolls.
